Specify First Initiative: AHANA Minority Scholarship Program at the University of Missouri in Columbia

Describe activities undertaken to fulfill that initiative:  Funded one $1600 scholarship for a minority applicant to the AHANA Scholarship/Workshop on the campus of the University of Missouri in Columbia.  Sent Stuart Johnson July 9-10 to teach, instruct, and answer questions during the weeklong event from our staff. KAAN-KMRN-KKWK, KAAN, Inc. participating stations.

Specify Second Initiative:  Missouri Broadcast Association Internship Support Program.

Describe activities undertaken to fulfill that initiative:  Each station to publicize the internship program, distribute brochures and applications, collect submitted applications, select applicant, submit letter of acceptance to MBA for approval, supervise the intern program for 2005.  Application due by October 15, 2004.  Ads searching for applicants run August 15, 2004 to October 14, 2004.  KAAN AM/FM, Bethany  KMRN/KKWK, Cameron     KAAN, Inc.
